I have a photo collage that I have slowly been adding to in my entryway. I am using all black frames to unify the different sizes of photos. I recently added some round mirrors of different sizes to add a bit of interest. Here is what it currently looks like. 
Here are some of my inspiration pics- different ways of grouping not only photos, but art as well. I notice that each of these examples is very light. Where only black frames were used, you see major white to offset the dark whether in wall color, mixed in white frames or large white mats.
I think the next thing I will do is add in my trusty $5 Ikea frames that are bigger with nice wide white mats in them. This will hopefully lighten the area up a bit and add some interest. I think I'll add in some art to break up the photographs as well. Paint would be nice too...
